Simone Petrella was born in New Jersey who has resided in Washington D.C. since 2000. She achieved her J.D. with honors from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law and graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Government and a M.A. in International Law and Policy. After graduate school, Simone served for the DoD as an intelligence analyst.
Petrella transitioned into the commercial sector at Booz Allen as a Senior Associate where she facilitated to shape the firm’s cybersecurity practice in commercial sector leading on the creation of cyber fusion centers and the integration of cyber threat intelligence, security operations, and cyber defense operations into effective cyber security operations.
For almost a decade she directed the firm’s entire source cyber threat intelligence business in the national security and Defense sectors. She is also a member of Women in International Security and is admitted to the New York Bar.
Petrella devoted the later portion of her time there developing cyber-fusion centers and the integration of cybersecurity operations before she stimulated into her new position at CyberVista. Petrella is the Chief Cyberstrategy Officer at CyberVista where she leads product development and delivery of cybersecurity training and education curriculums as well as workforce initiatives for executives, cyber practitioners, and continuing education.
Her parts of specialty involve predictive cyber intelligence built on an understanding of the threat adversary and generating service offerings to integrate intelligence into exercises to offer realistic cyber scenarios.
