Natalie Quillian Experiences

Natalie Quillian holds the position of Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) since early 2017 which is based in Washington, D.C., United States. In the same year she was also assigned to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Previously she has worked for more than a decade in several national security and domestic policy roles in the Obama and Bush Supervisions.

She served as the Deputy Assistant to the President and Advisor to the White House Chief of Staff from 2013 to 2017. While she held that position, Natalie gave strategic advice to the President, the Chief of Staff, and other senior leaders on momentous national as well as domestic security matters facing the country.

Quillian directed inter-agency teams and operated with members of the Cabinet to troubleshoot composite policy matters, handled White House crisis response efforts, and controlled strategic planning processes. She was also accountable for dealing with two major White House priorities which includes contending gun violence and addressing the prescription opioid and heroin epidemic.

Natalie has worked in various national security positions. She was appointed as Senior Advisor to the Deputy National Security Advisor at the White House She also served as Director of Defense Policy on the National Security Council staff, where she ran the interagency work on U.S. nuclear weapons and ballistic missile defense plans and agendas.

Prior to her journey at the National Security Council, Natalie operated in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where she focused on quadrennial analyses of nuclear procedure and missile defense, along with approaches for space and cyberspace. Quillian also attended overseas in the U.S. Mission to NATO and in the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan.
